country side!!!

I went to the country side to visit a friend of mine who lives there. first let me tell you what happened before I leave the city and we will make the comparison between the country side and the city. Today is off (weekend) I got up around 9:30 I made my coffee and sat on the TV to watch the news, I brought my laptop and I logged in while I'm watching the news, reviewing my emails and having my coffee, my mobile ranged an SMS tone, so I picked up my mobile and I reviewed the message in which they were promoting for a horoscope teller, I didn’t pay attention for them, short after the doors knocked, so I went to see who is on the door, I was surprised with a young girl asking me to open the door, I told her who are you? She said I'm from burger king and we have proposition for you, I told her I didn't contact burger king for any proposition, she said no sir we shall contact you for this one, I said no thank you I'm not interested in any offer at the moment. I went to my bedroom and start changing my clothes in order to go to the country side to visit my friend who was expecting me. I was happy that day I didn’t know why, so I went on the street waiting for that cab to come and take me to the bus station I stopped a cab and told him I want to go to the bus station, he told me I have to pay a double meter, a double meter why I shouted? He said sir there is a detour and I have to take a long turn to get you to the bus station, I said never mind let's go. I reached to the bus station and like a party was starting and too much crowed and people shouting for the bus services and like one million people speaks from one mouth, pushing me from the back and an old lady asks me to hold her sac of vegetables her daughter pursuing her child and what a morning to start my day. I finally managed to climb to the bus and find me a seat. After everybody were seated a police man came to set in the bus, the control man of the bus says that we need to spare the police man a seat, while the bus is full and everyone's start to look to each other, this dilemma needs to be solved says the driver in his bold coarse sound, the control man snatch the little boy from the back seat and waved to the police man to come and set, the driver blinks his eyes through the mirror to control man not to charge the police man any money. We start moving, the Bus I mean. Finally I have reached for my friend who been sick of waiting for me on the main street because his house is far from the main road and I need someone to pick me up cause I don’t know his house exactly where. When I reach him and stepped out the bus it was pretty quite really I didn't hear anything but the birds everywhere I go I only hear birds. He told me when I leave the city I leave my mobile my laptop and all of my gadgets and I come here to enjoy the sound of birds and clean air and the calmness of the country which I envy him for it, because there is no internet, no mobile, no further communication and city complication, just a very simple life with his parents and he milk his cows and eat his organics food, not too much to ask but nowadays its too little to find this environment to adapt with cause we grow up in the city and we are not use to live this kind of life which I really wish from the bottom of my heart that I can come and live in his country and back to the basics were everything is natural and nature, his mother told me my son you can stay here tonight and leave tomorrow and have some eggs when you go is its fresh. I was very excited because she told me so. That’s the deference between the city side and the country side, really non blessing grace because we had it once but we lost it twice.

Invitation to Malaysia

My first journey to Malaysia was in 1997, I had a direct flight from Amman to Kuala Lumpur. I arrived at 9am local time in Malaysia, the weather was warm and humid but it was lovely and I was happy then. I took a cab from the airport to the hotel which was selected for me by the cab driver, he told me this hotel well suits you and it really does. At that day I was very exhausted and I need to sleep after a long night trip, so I took a shower and I went to bed. The next day I have to call the people that I shall meet, Shiela was her name, she was very warm welcome person and she decide that I should move to her family house at a suburbia out side KL. So, we went to explorer KL, it was not as I've red in magazines or books about Malaysia, it was stunning city of huslte and bustle it was pretty amazing full of buildings and skyscrapers and a large gardens, of course it was the essence of development in the south east of Asia as the PETRONAS twin tower was under construction actually it was at the finishing stages of it and they told me that the grand opening will be in September as the commonwealth games will take place.

My second journey to Malaysia was in February, 2008. This time the transforming of the city was extremely obvious than 1997 especially after Malaysia became the first tourist destination among other neighboring countries like Thailand. And the first to see is the international airport KLIA, another mega-project of the new 'capital' city of Putrajaya which expands in 27 thousands acres and has the capacity to operate with more than 70 airplanes in one hour arrivals and departures. And the KLIA is linked to more than one hundred of the major's airports around the world. Inside KL the old buildings is vanished and a new buildings has risen with a blend of both legacy and modernity.

It would appear that the good stable economy and the tourist groups have helped the consuming development. I didn’t know that the Chinese New Year will take place in February 2008. The city was decorated in Chinese symbols and wearing the ceremony cloak of the new lunar year. The daily walks in KL gave me the opportunity to watch the mixture of ethnic origins of Malay, Chinese, and Hindu are living together under one sky and the temples, mosques, and churches along side by side. The city of KL is something speaks for itself it has a diversity of civilization and cultures excitement and shopping malls, China town and little India is the place where you find the goods of China market as you in Shanghai and the gold is the place to find in little India as well. There are lots of Chinese cuisine restaurants in deferent places in KL not only in china town where you can have sea food and enjoy the Chinese cuisine as the origin. The next day I went to "Genting Highland" it’s a theme park in high mountains about 45 minutes drive from KL it’s a multi entertainment park with golf course, casinos, and theaters. And most interesting is the view from the grand hotel "First World Hotel" is world largest hotel with more than 6,000 rooms. The third day we went to the aquarium which is 5 minutes walking distance from KLCC via a tunnel that connected to it. We moved then to the KL bird park which is also the world's largest covered bird park. Never-ending entertainment and absolutely stunning city to feel the rhythm in each and every step you take in the streets of KL it was beyond my expectations, the lake garden which near to the bird park is such a place for a relaxation after a long day of walk. If I want to talk about Malaysia and its beauty; I could speak for ever with endless words and descriptions and I think words are not enough to describe the reality of the city. There are numerous of places in Malaysia that I couldn’t count while I'm there and if I want to visit these places it will take me forever to end it. Simply these are a few words to put some of the beautiful Malaysia in your hands and I think no one has ever visit Malaysia and regret of doing that. That’s why I call this blog is an invitation to Malaysia so you can experience the feeling that I had while I'm there.
